Pharmakeia is the Greek word translated as "sorcery" or "witchcraft" in Galatians 5:20 and Revelation 18:23. It refers to the use of drugs and potions. Revelation 18:23–24 warns that in its sorceries "all folks erred" and "the blood of prophets" is found in it — suggesting pharmaceuticals may silence prophetic gifts.
