Opening Blind Eyes: The Signs Are All Around Us

"Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it: I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house."

The Blindness Is Spiritual — So What Are People Blind TO?

We know this verse speaks of spiritual blindness. That's not up for debate. Every Bible-believing Christian understands that Isaiah isn't talking about physical eyesight. He's talking about something far deeper — a blindness of the soul, a veil over the heart, a darkness that prevents people from seeing spiritual reality even when it's staring them right in the face.

But here's what most people miss: If the blindness is spiritual, then what exactly are people failing to see?

It's not that they can't see physically. Their eyes work perfectly fine. They can see the road in front of them. They can read the signs on the highway. They can watch a movie and follow the plot. They can look at a logo and recognize the brand.

But that's exactly the problem.

The signs are everywhere:

And the spiritually blind? They see it all — and perceive nothing.

"And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.'"

— Matthew 13:14-15 (NKJV)

Notice what Jesus says here: "their eyes THEY have closed."

It's not that God blinded them against their will. It's not that they were born incapable of seeing. They chose to close their eyes. They chose not to see. Why? Because seeing would require them to change. Understanding would demand a response. And most people would rather stay comfortable in their blindness than face the uncomfortable truth of what's really happening around them.

We are living in that time. The time Isaiah prophesied about. The time Jesus warned about. The time when knowledge would increase but wisdom would decrease. The time when people would have access to more information than any generation in history — yet remain utterly blind to spiritual reality.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power."

— 2 Timothy 3:1-5

A form of godliness — but denying its power. That's the world we live in. People go through religious motions while remaining completely blind to the spiritual war raging around them.

Understanding Isaiah 42:7 — A Two-Part Prophecy

Let's look closer at this verse, because it contains two distinct callings — and understanding them is key to understanding what this ministry is about:

"To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house."

This isn't one calling. It's two:

Part One is about the masses — the millions who go through life never seeing the spiritual reality embedded in the world around them. They're not in obvious torment. They're just... blind. Asleep. Unaware. They need their eyes opened.

Part Two is about individuals — people trapped in mental and spiritual prisons. Those diagnosed with schizophrenia, severe depression, anxiety disorders, and other conditions that keep them locked in their own minds. They don't just need their eyes opened — they need to be set free. They're prisoners. They're sitting in darkness. They're in a prison house.

The Ancient Symbols Hidden in Plain Sight

🐍 The Medical Caduceus: Serpents, Wings, and the Pharmakeia Deception

Walk into almost any hospital, pharmacy, or doctor's office and you'll see it — the caduceus: two serpents wrapped around a staff with wings at the top.

It's so common that most people never give it a second thought. It's just "the medical symbol," right? Something to do with health and healing?

But there's a much deeper story here — one that goes back to Scripture itself, and reveals what modern medicine has twisted beyond recognition.

🔥 Moses and the Bronze Serpent: SEE THE SIN

In Numbers 21, the Israelites were wandering in the wilderness. They had grown impatient. They sinned against God, speaking against Him and against Moses:

"And the people spoke against God and against Moses: 'Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.'"

— Numbers 21:5

They called the manna — the bread God miraculously provided from heaven every single day — "worthless bread." They despised God's provision. They rejected His sustenance.

And there were consequences:

"So the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died."

— Numbers 21:6

Fiery serpents. Venomous bites. Death spreading through the camp.

The people realized their sin and cried out to Moses. Moses prayed to the Lord. And God's response reveals something profound:

"Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.' So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived."

— Numbers 21:8-9

But here's the revelation: God SENT those snakes.

"So the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people..."

— Numbers 21:6

This wasn't random. This wasn't just punishment. God sent the serpents on purpose — as a living parable, a visual lesson for the Israelites AND for every generation that would read this story afterward.

God was teaching them WHO the serpent is and WHAT his bite does to you.

Think about it. Who is THE serpent?

"So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world."

— Revelation 12:9

*"(Let) No man deceive you in any manner. For but dissension, (a disagreement that leads to discord – 2026 Christian society.), come first, and the man of sin be showed, the son of perdition."

—— 2 Thessalonians 2:3

The serpent IS the man of sin the son of perdition. The serpent IS Satan. The serpent is the one who has been biting humanity since Eden — injecting his venom of deception, sin, and death into the human race.

The snake on the rod was SYMBOLISM.

God sent literal snakes so that Israel — and every person who would ever read this account — could perceive with the eye of understanding:

— WHO that serpent is (Satan, the enemy, the deceiver)

— WHAT his bite does to you (sin, death, bondage, destruction)

And the cure? SEEING.

Not taking something. Not paying for something. Not swallowing something.

SEEING the serpent for WHO he is. PERCEIVING with spiritual understanding WHO the enemy is and WHAT he has done to you.

When the Israelites looked at that bronze serpent lifted up on a pole, they weren't just glancing at a piece of metal. They were being given a revelation. They were perceiving the truth:

"THIS is what has been killing us. THIS is the enemy. THIS is what his bite does."

When they perceived it — when they truly SAW and UNDERSTOOD — healing took place.

Not through medicine. Not through pills. Through revelation. Through spiritual sight. Through opening the eye of understanding to see the serpent for who he really is.

This is crucial: You had to SEE the snake and PERCEIVE what his bite does to you in order to be healed.

Not ignore it. Not medicate it. Not numb it. PERCEIVE IT.

The healing comes through:

1. SEEING — acknowledging sin, looking at it honestly
2. FAITH — trusting in God's provision
3. REPENTANCE — turning from sin to God

No medicine. No pharmacy. No pills. No payment.

Just look and live.

Pharmakeia

💊 The Biblical Warning Hidden in Plain Sight

Now here's where it gets deeply troubling.

The Greek word your Bible translates as "sorcery" is pharmakeia (φαρμακεία). This is the direct root of our modern words: pharmacy, pharmacist, pharmaceutical.

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft [pharmakeia]..."

— Galatians 5:19-20

"...for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries [pharmakeia] were all nations deceived."

— Revelation 18:23

Read that again: "All nations deceived" by pharmakeia. And who does the deceiving? The merchants — the great men of the earth.

Are drug dealers the "great men of the earth"? Are they sitting in boardrooms, lobbying governments, funding medical schools, advertising during the evening news?

No. But pharmaceutical executives are.

The serpent on the staff you see in the hospitals isn't pointing you to see your sin. It's selling you a pill so you don't have to.

The Counterfeit

The caduceus — the symbol plastered across modern medicine — is NOT the bronze serpent of Moses.

The caduceus was the staff of Hermes — the Greek god of commerce, thieves, and trickery. Notice:

• TWO serpents instead of one
• Wings reaching toward heaven (like Lucifer's pride)
• Associated with commerce and deception, not healing

But here's the critical difference between God's symbol and the world's counterfeit:

"Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went. As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them."

"Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels."

But there's another explanation. One that most people — even Christians — overlook:

Creativity is a gift from the Creator. Where does imagination come from? Why can humans create art, write stories, compose music, and design worlds that have never been seen? Because we are made in the image of a Creator God.

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

The story of Cyrus is proof. Isaiah 45:4 speaks of Cyrus, a pagan Persian king who would free the Jewish people from Babylonian captivity. God called him by name — 150 years before Cyrus was even born:

"For Jacob My servant's sake, and Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me."

If God could use a pagan king to fulfill prophecy, He can use a Hollywood director. If God could speak through Balaam's donkey (Numbers 22), He can speak through a screenwriter.

In 1995, Steve Jackson Games released a card game called "Illuminati: New World Order."

It was supposedly just a game. A satirical take on conspiracy theories. But look at the cards:

Thirty years ago, these "predictions" were printed on playing cards — sold as a game, dismissed as satire. Now they're history.

How did they know?

But here's what EVERYONE misses — including the conspiracy theorists:

"That was the true Light which gives light to every man that comes into the world."

— John 1:9 (WYC 1382)

Christ is the TRUE Light that lights EVERY MAN that comes into the world.

Every single person walking this earth — whether they know Him or not — has been given light by Him. Every creative thought, every flash of insight, every vision of things to come... it all originates from THE Light.

The game is called "Illuminati: New World Order." But who is actually establishing a New World Order?

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away... And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new."

— Revelation 21:1, 5

Christ is establishing the TRUE New World Order — His Kingdom.

👑 The One on the Throne: Ezekiel's Vision

Go back to Ezekiel chapter 1. After describing the wheels and the living creatures, Ezekiel looks UP:

"And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; and seated above the likeness of a throne was a likeness with a human appearance. And upward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were gleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around."

Above the wheels. Above the wings. Above the living creatures. There was a THRONE.

And on that throne? A figure with the appearance of a man — surrounded by fire and brightness. Gleaming. Radiant. ILLUMINATED.

Prisoners in Darkness: The Spiritual Reality of Mental Torment

Now we come to the second part of Isaiah 42:7 — and this is where it gets deeply personal for many of you.

"...to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house."

Who are these prisoners? What is this prison house of darkness?

It's not just a physical prison with bars and guards. Isaiah is describing something far more insidious.

It's a mental prison. A spiritual prison. A prison of the mind.

They are prisoners.

The world calls it mental illness. And yes — the suffering is real. The conditions are real. The symptoms are real. This isn't about dismissing genuine mental health struggles.

But what if there's a spiritual dimension that modern medicine completely ignores?

🔊 The Voices: Demonic Torment or Divine Calling?

Here's something fascinating — and largely overlooked in both medical and church circles:

People with schizophrenia commonly report hearing their name called.

It's one of the most frequently reported auditory hallucinations. A voice — sometimes familiar, sometimes not — calling their name. Often when they're alone. Often with no apparent source.

But here's what most people don't realize: It's not just them.

Studies consistently show that a large percentage of the general population — people with no mental health diagnosis whatsoever — report hearing their name called at some point in their lives when no one was physically there.

What if something — or Someone — was actually calling?

God calls His children by name. This isn't metaphorical. Throughout Scripture, God literally, audibly calls people:

• Moses — "Moses, Moses!" from the burning bush (Exodus 3:4)
• Abraham — "Abraham!" when he was about to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:11)
• Saul/Paul — "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" (Acts 9:4)
• Mary Magdalene — Jesus said her name — "Mary!" — and immediately she recognized Him (John 20:16)

Discerning the Voices

💊 The Medication Strategy: Silence ALL Voices

Here's something critical that nobody talks about:

The goal of psychiatric medication is to hear NO voice at all.

Think about that. The medical system doesn't distinguish between voices. It doesn't ask, "What are these voices saying? Are some of them good? Are some leading you toward life and truth?" No. The goal is simply: silence them all.

Here's the tragedy: No Christian shows them where in the Bible they can find stories to relate to.

Nobody opens Scripture and says, "Look — Samuel heard his name called and didn't know it was God at first. Moses heard a voice from a burning bush. Paul heard a voice speak to him on the road to Damascus and was blinded for three days. Ezekiel saw visions that would get him institutionalized today."

Nobody points them to Matthew chapter 4.

Think about this: Jesus went into the wilderness and heard a voice that nobody else could hear.

"Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil."

— Matthew 4:1

For forty days, Jesus heard Satan speaking to Him. Tempting Him. Offering Him things. And Jesus responded to that voice. Out loud. He spoke back to an entity that was invisible to everyone else.

"But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.'"

— Isaiah 43:1-2

The Call to Wake Up

So where does this leave you?

You have a choice:

Isaiah 42 speaks of a servant called to be a "light to the Gentiles" — to open blind eyes AND bring prisoners out of darkness.

That light is Christ.

"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, 'I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.'"

— John 8:12

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

— John 14:6

He is the Way out of the prison. He is the Truth that opens blind eyes. He is the Life that sets captives free.

"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined."

— Isaiah 9:2
