Understanding Isaiah 42:7 — A Two-Part Prophecy

Let's look closer at this verse, because it contains two distinct callings — and understanding them is key to understanding what this ministry is about:

This isn't one calling. It's two:

Part One is about the masses — the millions who go through life never seeing the spiritual reality embedded in the world around them. They're not in obvious torment. They're just... blind. Asleep. Unaware. They need their eyes opened.

Part Two is about individuals — people trapped in mental and spiritual prisons. Those diagnosed with schizophrenia, severe depression, anxiety disorders, and other conditions that keep them locked in their own minds. They don't just need their eyes opened — they need to be set free. They're prisoners. They're sitting in darkness. They're in a prison house.

The Ancient Symbols Hidden in Plain Sight

The Medical Caduceus: Serpents, Wings, and the Pharmakeia Deception

Walk into almost any hospital, pharmacy, or doctor's office and you'll see it — the caduceus: two serpents wrapped around a staff with wings at the top.

It's so common that most people never give it a second thought. It's just "the medical symbol," right? Something to do with health and healing?

But there's a much deeper story here — one that goes back to Scripture itself, and reveals what modern medicine has twisted beyond recognition.

Moses and the Bronze Serpent: SEE THE SIN

In Numbers 21, the Israelites were wandering in the wilderness. They had grown impatient. They sinned against Christ, speaking against Him and against Moses:

They called the manna — the bread God miraculously provided from heaven every single day — "worthless bread." They despised God's provision. They rejected His sustenance.

And there were consequences:

The people realized their sin and cried out to Moses. Moses prayed to the Lord. And Christ's response reveals something profound:

Think about it. Who is THE serpent?

The serpent IS the man of sin, the son of perdition. The serpent IS Satan. The serpent is the one who has been biting humanity since Eden — injecting his venom of deception, sin, and death into the human race.

The snake on the rod was SYMBOLISM.

Christ sent literal snakes so that Israel — and every person who would ever read this account — could perceive with the eye of understanding:

• WHO that serpent is (Satan, the enemy, the deceiver)
• WHAT his bite does to you (sin, death, bondage, destruction)

And the cure? SEEING.

Not taking something. Not paying for something. Not swallowing something.

SEEING the serpent for WHO he is. Perciving with spiritual understanding WHO the enemy is and WHAT he has done to you.

When the Israelites looked at that bronze serpent lifted up on a pole, they weren't just glancing at a piece of metal. They were being given a revelation. They were perceiving the truth:

"THIS is what has been killing us. THIS is the enemy. THIS is what his bite does."

When they perceived it — when they truly SAW and UNDERSTOOD— that's when healing took place.

Not through medicine. Not through pills. Through revelation. Through spiritual sight. Through opening the eye of understanding to see the serpent for who he really is.

Pharmakeia: The Biblical Warning Hidden in Plain Sight

Now here's where it gets deeply troubling.

The Greek word your Bible translates as "sorcery" or "witchcraft" is pharmakeia (φαρμακεία). This is the direct root of our modern words: pharmacy, pharmacist, pharmaceutical.

Read that again: "All nations deceived" by pharmakeia. And who does the deceiving? The merchants — the great men of the earth.

The serpent on the staff you see in hospitals isn't pointing you to see your sin. It's selling you a pill so you don't have to.

Street Drugs: A Derivative of the Same System

This doesn't mean street drugs are excluded from the warning. In fact, many illicit drugs are derivatives of pharmaceutical products:

• Heroin — originally developed by Bayer as a "non-addictive" alternative to morphine
• The opioid crisis — fueled by prescription painkillers like OxyContin, aggressively marketed by companies who knew the addiction risks
• Methamphetamine — once prescribed as a diet pill and still available in pharmaceutical form (Desoxyn)
• MDMA, LSD, and other substances — began as pharmaceutical or government research projects

The street drugs that destroy lives didn't appear out of nowhere. They flowed from the same source — the pharmakeia system. The "great men of the earth" created them, profited from them, and often escaped accountability when they destroyed lives.

The Counterfeit: Don't Look, Just Swallow

The caduceus — the symbol plastered across modern medicine — is NOT the bronze serpent of Moses.

The caduceus was the staff of Hermes — the Greek god of commerce, thieves, and trickery. Notice:

• TWO serpents instead of one
• Wings reaching toward heaven (like Lucifer's pride)
• Associated with commerce and deception, not healing

But here's the critical difference between Christ's symbol and the world's counterfeit:

Christ's way: SEE your sin. Acknowledge it. Look to the One lifted up and what he showed us. Be healed through faith.

The world's way: Don't look at anything. Don't acknowledge anything. Just take this pill. Come back next month for a refill. That'll be $500.

Moses' serpent required you to LOOK — to see, to acknowledge, to confront what was killing you.

Modern medicine says: Don't look. Don't think. Don't question. Just swallow.

The Serpent Is Literally IN the Medicine

Here's something most people don't realize: snake venom compounds are literally used to develop pharmaceutical drugs.

This is not conspiracy theory. This is documented pharmaceutical science. Scientists study venoms from vipers, rattlesnakes, and Gila monsters to understand how their compounds affect the human body — and then they design drugs based on what they find.

And these are the prescriptions millions take globally.

The serpent is not just a symbol on the building. The serpent's design is in the medicine itself.

Think about that. The creature that brought death into the world in Genesis 3... the symbol lifted up by Moses that pointed to acknowledging sin... the image on every hospital and ambulance... flows through the pharmaceutical system.

Is this coincidence? Or is the enemy hiding in plain sight, mocking those who cannot see?

Note: Ozempic/Wegovy (semaglutide) — the popular weight loss and diabetes drug — is a descendant of research that started with Gila monster venom. It's in the same drug class (GLP-1 agonists) that originated from exenatide.

The Blind Leading the Blind

Why do so few people see this? Why do even believers accept the pharmaceutical system without question?

The deception is so complete, so normalized, that questioning it sounds like madness. We've been trained from birth to trust the system. Sick? Go to the doctor. Get a prescription. Take the pill. Don't ask questions. Don't look. Don't see.

But Moses' serpent required LOOKING.

Jesus on the cross requires LOOKING.

The world says: Don't look. Just medicate.

God says: LOOK and live.

Satan is the god of this world. So it's HIS way:

The bronze serpent brought life to those who looked.

The caduceus represents a system that profits from keeping you blind.

Are your eyes open to what you're really looking at?

The spiritually blind see a medical symbol. The spiritually awake see the counterfeit — two serpents where God put one, commerce where Christ commanded faith, and a system that says "don't look" when Christ says "LOOK AND LIVE."

Now let's talk about something you see every day: car logos.

Have you ever stopped to really look at them? Not just glance at them, but actually examine what's being displayed?

Now open your Bible to Ezekiel chapter 1. This is one of the most mysterious and fascinating visions in all of Scripture:

And then this crucial verse:

And accompanying these wheels were living creatures with wings:

Wheels. Wings. Eyes. Spirit within.

These are the images Ezekiel saw in a vision of the heavenly realm — a vision of the throne of Christ, of spiritual forces, of divine transportation and power.

Now ask yourself: Why are these exact symbols — wheels, wings, circles within circles — so prominently displayed across the automotive industry? Why do corporations worth billions of dollars, with access to the best designers and marketers in the world, consistently choose these specific images to represent their brands?

Is it just clever marketing?

Or are these symbols tapping into something ancient — something embedded in human consciousness, something that resonates on a spiritual level that most people don't even consciously recognize?

The spiritually blind see a car logo. The spiritually awake see a pattern.

A pattern that stretches back thousands of years. A pattern that appears in ancient religious texts and modern corporate boardrooms. A pattern hidden in plain sight.

Predictive Programming: God Speaks Through Human Creativity

Here's where things get really interesting.

Hollywood has shown us events before they happened — over and over again, with accuracy that defies random chance.

Consider these examples:

Pandemics:

• The 2011 movie Contagion depicted a global pandemic originating from a bat, spreading through respiratory transmission, causing lockdowns and social distancing — nine years before 2020
• The 1995 movie Outbreak showed a virus spreading rapidly and the government response
• Countless other films, shows, and books depicted pandemic scenarios with eerie specificity

September 11, 2001:

• The 1996 movie The Long Kiss Goodnight contained dialogue specifically mentioning the World Trade Center and a planned attack
• The 1998 movie The Siege depicted terrorist attacks in New York City and the subsequent martial law response
• The pilot episode of The Lone Gunmen (March 2001 — six months before 9/11) depicted a plot to fly a commercial airplane into the World Trade Center
• Numerous album covers, movie posters, and TV shows contained imagery of the Twin Towers with explosions, fire, or destruction — created years before the attacks

The world has a few explanations for this phenomenon:

1. Coincidence — "With enough creative content, some of it is bound to match reality by chance."
2. Predictive Programming — "The elite reveal their plans through entertainment to condition the masses to accept events when they occur."
3. Self-fulfilling prophecy — "Creators inspire real-world developments by putting ideas into people's minds."

But there's another explanation. One that most people — even Christians — overlook:

What If It's Christ?

What if the Creator of the universe — who exists outside of time, who knows the end from the beginning, who declares things before they happen — is speaking through the very people who don't even know they're being used?

Think about it.

Creativity is a gift from the Creator.

Where does imagination come from? Where does the ability to envision things that don't yet exist originate? Why can humans create art, write stories, compose music, and design worlds that have never been seen?

Because we are made in the image of a Creator God.

Our creativity is a reflection of His creativity. Our ability to imagine is derived from His infinite imagination. Every artist, writer, filmmaker, and designer operates with a capacity that ultimately comes from Him — whether they acknowledge it or not.

And Christ has always worked through humans — even those who don't know Him.

The story of Cyrus is proof.

Isaiah 45:4 speaks of Cyrus, a pagan Persian king who would free the Jewish people from Babylonian captivity. Christ called him by name — 150 years before Cyrus was even born:

Cyrus didn't worship the God of Israel. He didn't know Christ. Yet Christ called him by name, raised him up for a specific purpose, and used him to accomplish divine plans — all without Cyrus understanding who was really directing his steps.

If Christ could use a pagan king to fulfill prophecy, He can use a Hollywood director.

If Christ could speak through Balaam's donkey (Numbers 22), He can speak through a screenwriter.

If Christ could put dreams in the mind of Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar — pagan rulers who didn't worship Him — He can put visions in the mind of anyone He chooses.

Now look again at Isaiah 42:5:

Read that carefully: Christ gives breath to the people. Christ gives spirit to those who walk on the earth.

That breath. That spirit. That's where creativity comes from. That's where imagination comes from. That's where the ability to envision the future originates.

Every human being walking this earth has been given breath and spirit by Christ Himself — whether they acknowledge Him or not.

The atheist filmmaker? Christ gave him breath. Christ gave him spirit.

The secular novelist? Christ gave her breath. Christ gave her spirit.

The agnostic game designer? Christ gave him breath. Christ gave him spirit.

And because Christ is sovereign over ALL things — because He knows the end from the beginning — He can move through human hands and minds to deliver messages, warnings, and revelations to those who have eyes to see.

If we are the temple of the Holy Spirit... if the "spirit of the living creature" is "IN the wheels"... if Christ dwells within His creation and moves through human vessels...

Then Christ can absolutely use a movie director who doesn't even know they're being guided.

Those directors thought they were just being creative. They thought they were just imagining interesting scenarios. They thought they were just making entertainment.

But creativity comes from Christ. And He speaks through it — whether the vessel recognizes it or not.

Christ declares things before they happen. He always has. Through prophets. Through dreams. Through visions. Through Scripture.

And sometimes — for those with eyes to see — through the very industries that seem furthest from Him.

The question isn't whether these "predictions" are real. They obviously are. The evidence is overwhelming.

The question is: Who's behind them?

And the answer might just be the same God who spoke through a burning bush, through a donkey, through pagan kings, and through fishermen who became apostles.

The Illuminati Card Game: Christ IS the True Illuminati

In 1995, Steve Jackson Games released a card game called "Illuminati: New World Order."

It was supposedly just a game. A satirical take on conspiracy theories. A bit of dark humor about secret societies controlling the world.

Thirty years ago, these "predictions" were printed on playing cards — sold as a game, dismissed as satire.

Now they're history.

How did they know?

The conspiracy-minded say the game designers had inside knowledge — that the "Illuminati" revealed their plans through the game as some kind of occult ritual or predictive programming.

Interestingly, Scripture tells us not to call everything a conspiracy:

But here's the thing about Satan — he always does the opposite of what Christ commands. So while Christ says "don't fear conspiracy", the enemy has flipped the script. He's blinded society and conditioned it to label anyone who exposes hidden truths as a "conspiracy theorist" — a term weaponized to discredit and silence.

If Satan can make people afraid to even look at evidence because they might be labeled a "conspiracy nut", he wins. The truth gets buried not by refutation, but by ridicule.

The skeptics say it's coincidence — that if you create enough cards with enough scenarios, some are bound to match reality eventually.

Fair enough. Let's do the math.

The game contains over 400 cards. And how many have seemingly "come true"? Researchers have documented dozens — not vague, general themes, but specific events with eerie visual accuracy. You've seen them above.

At what point do "coincidences" stop being coincidental?

If someone gets one prediction right, it's luck. Two, maybe a good guess. But when a card game from 1995 depicts event after event — with visual precision — that unfolds over the next three decades?

It's definitely not a coincidence.

But humans can't do this. It's not possible. No man knows the future with this kind of accuracy.

That only leaves one explanation — one ultimate authority, one power, one Leader who sits outside of time and knows the end from the beginning.

Every conspiracy researcher is looking for the puppet master. But they keep stopping at human hands. They never look inwardly to see whose hands hold the strings of time itself.

The Truth Everyone Misses — Including the Conspiracy Theorists

Christ — who is God — declares the future before it happens. CHRIST IS THE TRUE ILLUMINATI.

Let that sink in.

Did you catch that? The Spirit of Christ was IN the prophets. These men didn't have secret knowledge from hidden societies. They didn't tap into some mystical force. The very Spirit of the living God dwelt inside them — and through them, He revealed what was to come.

Centuries before Jesus walked the earth, the prophets spoke of His suffering. Not because they were guessing. Not because they were clever. Because Christ Himself — His Spirit — which was IN them — was testifying through them.

That's real illumination. That's true foreknowledge. That's the source every "Illuminati researcher" is looking for but missing.

The word "Illuminati" comes from the Latin illuminatus — meaning "the enlightened ones" or "those who are illuminated".

But who is THE Light? Who is the One who TRULY illuminates?

Christ is the TRUE Light that lights EVERY MAN that comes into the world.

Every single person walking this earth — whether they know Him or not — has been given light by Him. Every creative thought, every flash of insight, every vision of things to come... it all originates from THE Light.

So when Steve Jackson sat down to create a card game in the early 1990s... when his illustrators drew images of towers exploding and pandemics spreading... where did that creative vision come from?

The same place ALL creativity comes from — the Creator.

The game is called "Illuminati: New World Order".

But who is actually establishing a New World Order?

Christ is establishing the TRUE New World Order — His Kingdom.

The enemy has a counterfeit. Satan always counterfeits what Christ creates. There may be secret societies calling themselves "Illuminati," claiming to be the "enlightened ones," claiming to control world events, claiming to establish their "new world order."

But they're not the source of the light. They're not the ones who truly know the future. They're not the ones in control.

There is only ONE who sits on the throne. Only ONE who knows the end from the beginning. Only ONE who is truly "illuminated" — because He IS the Light itself.

The One on the Throne: Ezekiel's Vision

Go back to Ezekiel chapter 1. We talked about the wheels within wheels, the wings, the eyes. But we haven't talked about WHO was above it all.

After describing the wheels and the living creatures, Ezekiel looks UP:

Did you catch that?

Above the wheels. Above the wings. Above the living creatures. There was a THRONE.

And on that throne? A figure with the appearance of a man — surrounded by fire and brightness. Gleaming. Radiant. ILLUMINATED.

This is the TRUE Illuminati — the One who sits on the throne, surrounded by light, with all of creation moving according to His Spirit.

This is who Ezekiel saw. This is who sits above it all.

He is the One who knows all things. He is the One who sees the end from the beginning. He is the One who plants visions and images in human minds. He is the One whose Spirit moves through creation. He is the One establishing the REAL New World Order — His eternal Kingdom.

Remember what we read earlier:

"The spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels."

— Ezekiel 1:20

The wheels move wherever the Spirit directs. The Spirit was IN them. The wheels didn't direct themselves — they were directed by the Spirit from the One on the throne surrounded by light — He IS the Light.

WE ARE THE WHEELS!

Do you see it? The Spirit was IN the wheels — directing their movement, guiding their path.

Christ lives inside His creation. He moves through human hands and minds — even hands and minds that don't know they're being guided.

Steve Jackson's mind. Hollywood directors' minds. Game designers, screenwriters, artists — all given breath and spirit by Christ (Isaiah 42:5), all capable of receiving flashes of light from THE Light, all potentially used as vessels for divine warning.

This doesn't mean Christ causes evil events. It doesn't mean Christ was "in on it." But Christ, in His sovereignty — as the TRUE Illuminati, the One who knows all and sees all — can use anyone and anything to warn His people about what's coming.

And that's exactly what He did. He used a card game called "Illuminati" to PROVE He exists — putting warnings on cardboard, from the TRUE Illuminati, the Light of the World, for those with eyes to see.

He warns His people. He always has. Through Scripture first and foremost. Through prophets. Through dreams. Through visions. Through signs in creation. Through the mouth of a donkey when necessary.

And sometimes — through a deck of cards that the world dismissed as satire.

Think about the irony.

The world made a game to mock conspiracy theories — and Christ used it to confirm His sovereignty. They called it "Illuminati" — and Christ said, "I AM the Light." They thought they were being clever — and Christ caught them in their own craftiness.

That's how He works. He takes what the world dismisses and uses it to declare His glory.

So How Did Steve Jackson "Know"?

Now it makes sense.

Steve Jackson — the creator of the "Illuminati: New World Order" card game — thought he was being clever. He thought he was satirizing conspiracy theories. He probably thought he was tapping into fears about shadowy secret societies.

But where did those specific images come from?

Two towers. An explosion. A pandemic. The Pentagon in flames.

The conspiracy theorists say: "The Illuminati revealed their plans through the game".

But here's the truth they can't see:

The TRUE Illuminati — Christ, the Light that lights every man — gave those images.

Not because God causes evil — but because God, who exists outside of time, who sees all of history at once, who knows every event before it happens — He can plant images in human minds to warn His people.

Steve Jackson was given light — just like every man who comes into the world (John 1:9 - WYC 1382).

That light sparked creativity.

That creativity produced images of future events.

Those images were printed on cards.

And now, 30 years later, those who have eyes to see can look back and recognize: God was speaking. God was warning. God was revealing.

Not the "Illuminati" of conspiracy theories. Not secret societies in smoke-filled rooms. Not shadowy elites pulling strings.

THE ILLUMINATI. THE Light. Christ Himself.

The irony is stunning.

A card game called "Illuminati" — meant to mock conspiracy theories — became a vehicle for THE TRUE ILLUMINATI to reveal future events to those with eyes to see.

The game designers didn't know who they were really working for.

But we do.

The REAL New World Order

The world fears a "New World Order" — a one-world government, a totalitarian regime, the loss of freedom.

And there may be forces working toward that counterfeit.

But the REAL New World Order is something entirely different:

Christ's Kingdom IS already here. Christ's New World Order has already been established. And it lives inside each and every breathing life form on this planet. Every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess. The One on the throne — the TRUE Illuminati, surrounded by light and glory — will reign forever.

Prisoners in Darkness: The Spiritual Reality of Mental Torment

There is a spiritual war happening. And the battlefield includes your mind.

Now we come to the second part of Isaiah 42:7 — and this is where it gets deeply personal for many of you.

The Bible tells us:

We talked about the first calling — opening blind eyes, helping people see the signs and symbols around them.

But this second calling is different. More intimate. More urgent.

Who are these prisoners? What is this prison house of darkness?

It's not just a physical prison with bars and guards. Isaiah is describing something far more insidious.

It's a mental prison. A spiritual prison. A prison of the mind.

• Think about those diagnosed with schizophrenia — told they're "crazy," medicated heavily, often isolated from society. Sitting in darkness.
• Think about those battling severe depression — unable to get out of bed, convinced life is meaningless, feeling trapped in a fog that never lifts. Prisoners.
• Think about those with crippling anxiety — paralyzed by fear, tormented by "what ifs," unable to function normally. In a prison house.
• Think about those who hear tormenting voices — told it's just their brain misfiring, given pills to quiet the noise, never offered any spiritual explanation or help. Sitting in darkness.

They are prisoners.

The world calls it mental illness. And yes — the suffering is real. The conditions are real. The symptoms are real. This isn't about dismissing the struggles of mental health.

But what if there's a spiritual dimension that modern medicine completely ignores?

What if what we label "mental illness" is actually spiritual attack?

What if the "voices" people hear are exactly what they claim to be — not brain malfunctions, but spiritual entities?

What if the "prison house of darkness" Isaiah describes looks a lot like a psychiatric ward?

The Voices: Demonic Torment or Divine Calling?

Here's something fascinating — and largely overlooked in both medical and church circles:

People with schizophrenia commonly report hearing their name called.

It's one of the most frequently reported auditory hallucinations. A voice — sometimes familiar, sometimes not — calling their name. Often when they're alone. Often with no apparent source.

But here's what most people don't realize: It's not just them.

Studies consistently show that a large percentage of the general population — people with no mental health diagnosis whatsoever — report hearing their name called at some point in their lives when no one was physically there.

Some studies suggest this happens to the majority of people at least once.

Most people brush it off. "I must have imagined it." "I thought I heard something." "That was weird." And they move on with their day.

But what if it wasn't imagination?

What if something — or Someone — was actually calling?

Scripture gives us a clear answer:

God calls His children by name.

This isn't metaphorical. Throughout Scripture, God literally, audibly calls people:

• Samuel — Called by name in the night. Three times he heard his name and thought it was Eli. Finally Eli realized: "The Lord is calling you" (1 Samuel 3).
• Moses — "Moses, Moses!" from the burning bush (Exodus 3:4).
• Abraham — "Abraham!" when he was about to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:11).
• Saul/Paul — "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:4).

God calls His people by name. Audibly. Personally. Specifically.

So when someone hears their name and no one is there... could it be the Shepherd calling His sheep?

But there's another side to this.

The enemy also calls. But his call is different.

What if some of the "voices" that torment people diagnosed with schizophrenia and other conditions are demonic? What if the enemy is harassing, tormenting, and confusing them — and the medical system's only response is to numb their minds with medication?

And what if — buried beneath the noise of those tormenting voices — there is ONE voice that's different? One voice calling them by name with love? One voice trying to lead them OUT of the darkness?

What if God is calling them out of the prison house... and they can't hear Him over the enemy's interference?

The Medication Strategy: Silence ALL Voices

Here's something critical that nobody talks about:

The goal of psychiatric medication is to hear NO voice at all.

Think about that.

The medical system doesn't distinguish between voices. It doesn't ask, "What are these voices saying? Are some of them good? Are some leading you toward life and truth?" No. The goal is simply: silence them all.

Numb the mind. Quiet the noise. Hear nothing.

And here's the thing — when patients are heavily medicated, the drugs often DO suppress the voices.

At high enough doses, antipsychotics can chemically block the brain's ability to perceive voices entirely. The tormenting voices go quiet. The confusing noise fades. For many patients, especially in the short term, the medications appear to "work."

But at what cost?

What if, in silencing the tormenting voices, they're also silencing the ONE voice that could set the person free?

What if the medication that quiets the demonic harassment ALSO quiets the Shepherd calling His sheep by name?

His sheep HEAR His voice. But what happens when the sheep's ability to hear has been chemically suppressed?

The Relapse Paradox

Here's what the medical establishment doesn't want you to know:

Long-term studies show that patients who stay on antipsychotic medications have WORSE outcomes than those who don't take them.

You read that right.

The very drugs prescribed to "prevent relapse" are associated with higher relapse rates, poorer recovery, and worse long-term functioning when compared to patients who come off the medications.

A 20-year longitudinal study from the University of Illinois found that schizophrenia patients NOT on antipsychotics showed significantly more periods of recovery and better global functioning than those who stayed on the drugs.

What does "global functioning" mean? It measures a person's overall ability to function in daily life — holding a job, maintaining relationships, living independently, taking care of themselves, and engaging with the world around them. In other words: the unmedicated patients were actually LIVING. The medicated patients were just existing.

The researchers concluded that "not all schizophrenia patients need to use antipsychotic medications continuously throughout their lives."

In Finland, the Open Dialogue approach — which minimizes medication use — achieved remarkable results: 83% of patients returned to work or school, 77% had NO residual psychotic symptoms, and only 33% ever used antipsychotic medication. The incidence of schizophrenia in their region dropped from 35 per 100,000 to just 7 per 100,000.

Meanwhile, approximately 30% of heavily medicated patients are classified as "treatment-resistant" — meaning the drugs don't even work for them. The voices persist despite the medication.

Look at that chart again.

Schizophrenia is disabling. Everyone agrees on that. But here's the tragic truth the studies reveal:

The medication doesn't restore function — it keeps patients disabled.

The unmedicated patients were the ones returning to work, maintaining relationships, living independently. The medicated patients were "stable" — but stable in their disability. The drugs don't cure disability. They institutionalize it.

The world calls this "treatment." The world calls this "managing symptoms." The world calls this "helping."

But what if it's actually the final step in the enemy's plan to keep prisoners locked in darkness?

The tormenting voices were never the real goal. The real goal was to silence the ONE voice that could bring freedom.

Think about it from the enemy's perspective:

If he can torment someone so badly that they run to the medical system... and the medical system's "solution" is to chemically block ALL spiritual hearing... then the enemy has accomplished something even better than torment.

He's cut them off from their only hope of rescue.

The Shepherd is still calling. "Come out of the darkness. I know you by name. Follow My voice to freedom."

But the sheep can't hear Him anymore. The medication has built a wall between them and every voice — including His.

And the tragic irony? The very drugs that promise stability actually produce worse outcomes over time. The science confirms what the Spirit has been saying all along:

There is no chemical solution to a spiritual problem.

The Real Solution: Discernment, Not Deafness

Christ's answer to tormenting voices was never "hear nothing."

Christ's answer is discernment — learning to recognize HIS voice among the noise.

We're not supposed to shut down all spiritual hearing. We're supposed to test the spirits. We're supposed to learn which voice is which. We're supposed to grow in discernment until we can clearly identify the Shepherd's voice and follow it OUT of the darkness.

• The enemy's voices condemn. Christ's voice convicts with hope.
• The enemy's voices confuse. Christ's voice brings clarity.
• The enemy's voices drive you deeper into darkness. Christ's voice leads you OUT.
• The enemy's voices say "you're worthless, hopeless, beyond help". Christ's voice says "I have called you by name. You are Mine." (Isaiah 43:1)

The answer isn't to hear nothing. The answer is to learn to hear HIM.

But that requires spiritual help, not chemical intervention. That requires both the written and the audible Word of God, not a prescription. That requires deliverance, not "disease management".

The truth sets free. Not medication. Not numbness. Not chemical deafness.

TRUTH.

And the Truth has a voice. And He's still calling.

What the Medicated Have Lost (And Don't Even Know It)

I've spoken to many people who took the other path — the path I was "supposed" to take.

They went to the doctors. They got the diagnosis. They took the pills.

And do you know what they tell me?

• "I don't feel like myself anymore."
• "I'm just... numb."
• "I don't recognize who I am."
• "Something is missing, but I can't explain what."

They can't explain it because they don't know what was taken from them.

The medication didn't just silence the tormenting voices. It silenced EVERYTHING. It built a chemical wall between them and the spiritual realm — including the voice of the One who was trying to rescue them.

They're "stable" now. They're "functioning". They're not in crisis.

But they're also not FREE.

They traded torment for numbness. They traded chaos for emptiness. They traded a prison cell full of noise for a prison cell of silence.

But they're still in the prison.

And the worst part? They don't even know what they lost.

They don't know that the Shepherd was calling their name. They don't know that buried beneath all that noise was a voice of love, trying to lead them OUT. They don't know that they had a GIFT — the ability to hear in the spiritual realm. They don't know that they are PROPHETS — and it was chemically stripped away from them.

They were told they were sick. They were told their brain was broken. They were told the voices were symptoms of disease.

Nobody told them they could be hearing from Christ.

Nobody told them they could have a prophetic gift that needed training, not medicating.

Nobody told them that just like them, some of the greatest prophets in Scripture heard voices, saw visions, and experienced things that would get them locked up in a psychiatric ward today.

Ezekiel would be medicated. Daniel would be sedated. John on Patmos would be committed.

What the Studies Actually Show

Here's the irony that should shake every believer awake:

Even secular science has noticed the connection between "psychotic disorders" and religious experiences.

There are academic papers — peer-reviewed, published in respected journals — that examine "the role of psychotic disorders in religious history".

And do you know what they conclude?

They suggest that Jesus, Moses, Paul, Ezekiel, and Abraham may have been experiencing psychotic disorders. That they were sick men.

Let that sink in.

The secular world looks at the biblical accounts — the burning bush, the voice on the road to Damascus, the visions of Ezekiel, the heavenly encounters — and they say, "These were symptoms of mental illness".

They're not hiding this. It's published. It's taught in universities. It's discussed in psychiatric circles.

The world has no problem connecting "hearing voices" with biblical prophets.

But the CHURCH won't make that connection. WHY?

The church says, "Those were special cases. That was God working in a unique time. That doesn't happen anymore".

Meanwhile, people in their own congregations are hearing voices, experiencing spiritual phenomena, desperately looking for guidance — and the church sends them to the very system that will label them mentally ill and medicate them into silence.

The world sees the connection and calls it insanity.

The church refuses to see the connection and calls it... nothing. They just look away.

Do you understand what this kind of teaching is doing to the world?

It's teaching the world that Christ cannot be real — because if what these men experienced was mental illness, then everything they testified to was a lie. Every prophecy. Every vision. Every word from God.

And that's exactly what the enemy wants.

Here's the bitter irony:

Science says: "The prophets were sick."

The church says: "We are not prophets — we are sick."

Both are working together — whether they know it or not — to destroy the testimony of Jesus. And Satan wins.

When you silence the prophets — whether by calling them insane or calling them sick — you silence EVERYTHING JESUS TESTIFIED ABOUT! - THE AUDIBLE WORD OF GOD! - THE WORD!

The Church's Failure

Here's the tragedy:

No Christian shows them where in the Bible they can find stories to relate to.

Nobody opens Scripture and says, "Look — Samuel heard his name called and didn't know it was God at first. Moses heard a voice from a burning bush. Paul heard a spirit I understand to be Christ who is The Word, speak to him on the road to Damascus and was blinded for three days. Ezekiel saw visions that would get him institutionalized today."

Nobody points them to Matthew chapter 4.

Think about this: Jesus went into the wilderness and heard a voice that nobody else could hear.

For forty days, Jesus heard Satan speaking to Him. Tempting Him. Offering Him things. Challenging Him. Tried to trick him into suicide, just like the pigs in Mark 5.

And Jesus responded to that voice. Out loud. He spoke back to an entity that was invisible to everyone else.

Notice the language Scripture uses:

The tempter came to Jesus. He approached. He spoke. He tempted.

Now consider Andrew Magill — a man from Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico, who in 2017 committed a horrific murder. In police interrogation footage, he described what happened to him in strikingly similar language. He said, and I quote, "And then it came to me and said..." He believed he was fighting Satan. He was tricked into believing that in the act of murder he was saving the world. He said, while pointing upwards, and again I quote, "Somebody up there told me to do it. I knew it was the right thing to do so I did it." Andrew needed guidance. He did not receive that guidance, and now a woman is dead and he is locked away in the penitentiary for the rest of his life — never fully understanding what happened to him. Can you imagine what that would be like for you?

I believe it with every fiber of my being — because I too experienced it. Something, someone really did "come to him" and that someone lied to him.

The same tempter who came to Jesus in the wilderness — the same voice that tried to lead Jesus to throw Himself off a building — came to Andrew Magill too.

The difference? Jesus understood God would not cause this kind of suffering to the mind. Jesus recognized the voice was Satan. Jesus responded with Scripture and truth.

Andrew Magill didn't. Nobody had taught him how to test the spirits. Nobody had shown him the Bible stories of spiritual warfare. Nobody had told him that the enemy's voice leads to death — and that there's another voice that leads to life.

He was left defenseless against a spiritual attack — and the only "help" the world offered was a prison cell.

Jesus was having a conversation with an invisible being. He was hearing a voice and responding to it.

By today's psychiatric standards, that's called "auditory hallucinations" and "responding to internal stimuli."

That's a textbook symptom of schizophrenia.

But nobody in the church points to this! Nobody says, "Look — Jesus Himself experienced exactly what you're experiencing. He heard the enemy's voice. He was tempted. He was in spiritual warfare. And He responded with the TRUTH."

Instead, the church says: "God doesn't speak audibly anymore."

They say: "That was just for Bible times."

They say: "You need professional help."

And they push suffering people out the door and into the arms of the medical system — the system with the serpent on its staff that we just learned about, the system that will chemically silence every voice into silence, including the voice of Christ.

Liberty. Not management. Not numbness. Not chemical chains.

LIBERTY.

That's what He offers. That's what I found. And that's what I want for every person sitting in a mental prison right now, wondering if there's any hope.

There is hope. The Spirit of Christ is your hope. And He's calling YOUR name.

Can you hear Him?

The Word IS the Voice

This is crucial to understand:

Christ IS the Word. And Jesus showed Him to us.

The Bible tells us:

What is this Word that was revealed to Samuel? The one calling his NAME: "Samuel, Samuel."

And that was Jesus' entire ministry — THE WORD that SPOKE TO HIM. That gave Him power. The power inside of Jesus WAS CHRIST. And that same power is in us. He is the light. He is the Word.

This means the Word isn't text on a page. Jesus didn't carry a book around calling it "the Word" — yet His whole ministry was about the Word. The Word is not ancient writings compiled in a book. The Word is living, active, and audible.

Faith comes by hearing. Not just reading. HEARING. The Word of God is meant to be heard — audibly, spiritually, internally.

God's Word has always been an audible voice:

• God spoke creation into existence — "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3)
• God called to Adam — "Where are you?" (Genesis 3:9)
• God spoke to Moses in fellowship — "as a man speaks to his friend" (Exodus 33:11)

• God called Samuel by name — audibly, repeatedly (1 Samuel 3)
• God called Moses by name — "Moses, Moses!" from the burning bush (Exodus 3:4)
• God called Abraham by name — "Abraham!" when he was about to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:11)

His Word — His voice — calls us OUT of darkness.

Called OUT of darkness. By voice. By Word. By the audible, living, active communication of God to His children.

So when someone hears their name and no one visible is there... it might just be the Shepherd calling His sheep.

The question is: Will they recognize His voice?

Or will the enemy's counterfeit voices — the tormenting, confusing, condemning voices — drown it out?

The Prison House of the Mind

People struggling with severe mental torment are often:

• Medicated into numbness — The voices might quiet, but so does everything else. They're not healed; they're sedated. The prison walls are still there — they just can't feel them as much.
• Told "it's just brain chemistry" — A purely materialistic explanation that ignores the spiritual dimension entirely. "Your brain is broken. Here are pills to fix it." But what if it's not brain chemistry? What if something else is happening?
• Institutionalized — Literally imprisoned. Locked in facilities. Separated from normal life. Isaiah's "prison house" made manifest.
• Isolated and misunderstood — Friends and family don't know how to help. Society stigmatizes them. Churches often don't know what to do with them. They sit in darkness — alone.
• Never offered spiritual help — Doctors treat the brain. Therapists treat the mind. But who treats the spirit? Who considers that this torment has a spiritual root and require spiritual solutions?

The medical system — with its serpent-staff symbol — offers management of symptoms.

And let's not forget what they used to do. Before the pills, there was electricity. Electroconvulsive therapy — ECT — where they strapped patients down and sent electric shocks through the brain. They FRIED the brains of schizophrenics. Seizures induced on purpose. Memory loss. Confusion. Damage. All in the name of "treatment." They literally electrocuted the mind — the very place where salvation is found.

Nancy Andreasen, a mental health PhD — the go-to authority on schizophrenia for this generation — did the first MRI on a schizophrenic brain. She set the positive and negative scales for schizophrenia. Years later she stated that the medication she prescribed has not helped her patients but only deteriorated the brain. The mind — right where salvation is found. Your mind. The helmet of salvation. That's why Satan attacks it so much. The mind is where the door is.

But Christ offers freedom. He stands at that door knocking.

This is Jesus quoting Isaiah 61 — the same prophecy, the same mission as Isaiah 42. If you have eyes to see it, it is the same mission Christ gave to me, because I do hear HIM!

Liberty to the captives.

Not "management" of captivity. Not "coping strategies" for the prison. Not "medication to make the chains feel lighter."

LIBERTY.

Free INDEED. Actually free. Truly free. Not partially free, not temporarily free, not medically-managed free.

Free indeed.

Mental Health: The Spiritual War No One Talks About

We live in an age of unprecedented anxiety, depression, confusion, and despair.

Nearly 1 in 2 people will experience a mental health condition at some point in their lifetime. That's almost half of us.

The statistics are staggering:

• Anxiety disorders affect over 300 million people worldwide
• Depression is the leading cause of disability globally
• Suicide rates have increased dramatically in recent decades
• Mental health medication use is at an all-time high
• Despite all the medication, people aren't getting better — they're getting worse

The mental health crisis is real. The suffering is real. The symptoms are real.

But what's causing it?

Modern medicine treats the symptoms:

• Pills for anxiety
• Pills for depression
• Pills to help you sleep
• Pills to help you wake up
• Pills to focus
• Pills to calm down
• Pills for the side effects of other pills

But what if much of what we call "mental illness" has a spiritual root?

What if the confusion, the intrusive thoughts, the despair, the feeling that something is deeply wrong — what if those are symptoms of something deeper than brain chemistry?

What if they're symptoms of:

• A soul that is spiritually starving?
• A spirit under attack?
• A mind that has been blinded to truth?
• A person who has been cut off from their Creator?
• A life without purpose, meaning, or hope?

The Bible says:

A sound mind is a gift from God.

And if a sound mind is a gift from God, then an unsound mind — a mind plagued by fear, confusion, torment, and despair — might be the result of being disconnected from God, or under attack by an enemy who wants to steal that gift.

The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. What better target than the human mind? What better way to destroy a person than to imprison them in their own head?

This doesn't mean mental health struggles aren't real. They are painfully, devastatingly real.

This doesn't mean we should shame people who are suffering. We should love them, support them, and walk with them.

But it DOES mean that true healing — complete healing — must address the spirit IN THE MIND, not just the brain chemistry.

• The world offers medication. God offers transformation.
• The world offers coping mechanisms. God offers deliverance.
• The world offers therapy to talk about your problems. God offers freedom from your problems.
• The world says "manage your symptoms." God says "I will bring you out of the prison house."

He sent His Word. His voice. And He healed them. And He delivered them.

Not managed them. DELIVERED them.

Hearing His Voice in the Chaos

If you've ever heard your name called when no one was there — don't dismiss it. If you struggle with tormenting thoughts or voices — know that there is a war for your mind, and Christ is fighting for your freedom.

The key is learning to recognize His voice among the noise.

His sheep hear His voice. But first, the sheep need to understand they ARE sheep — that He does speak, that they belong to Him, that He knows them, that He's been calling their name all along. Once you know you're His, you start recognizing the voice that's been there the whole time. And once you recognize it, you follow it. And once you follow it, nothing can snatch you from His hand.

So how do you know it's Him?

His voice will always align with His character. Learn who He is. His nature doesn't change. He's the same voice that called Moses, that spoke through Isaiah, that walked in Jesus. If a voice contradicts His character — His love, His truth, His desire to set you free — it's not Him. Read the Bible yourself, pick it up! READ IT YOURSELF. Pray for understanding. Learn His character. Because as you've seen throughout this message — no one is going to hand you the truth. They don't know it themselves, so pick up the Bible and find Him for yourself.

His voice brings peace, not confusion. Even when He convicts you of sin, it comes with a path forward — hope, redemption, clarity. The enemy's voice brings chaos. It spirals. It condemns without offering a way out.

His voice leads toward life and freedom — never deeper into darkness. If a voice drives you toward death, destruction, isolation, or bondage — that's not God. He came to give life, and life abundantly.

And His voice calls you by name — with love, not condemnation. God convicts, yes. But conviction comes with hope. The enemy condemns — and condemnation brings only shame, despair, and hopelessness. God speaks your name with love. The enemy speaks it with accusation.

The enemy's voices torment. God's voice transforms. Learn the difference. Your freedom depends on it.

The Call to Wake Up

So where does this leave you?

You can stay blind. Keep scrolling. Keep watching. Keep consuming. Keep ignoring the signs all around you. Tell yourself it's all coincidence — that the symbols mean nothing, that the "predictions" are just lucky guesses. Stay in the prison. Go back to sleep.

Or you can open your eyes.

Start seeing the patterns. Start questioning the symbols. Start paying attention to what you're consuming, what you're looking at, what you're allowing into your mind. Start listening for the true voice — the one that calls you by name with love. Start seeking the One who is the Light of the world.

Isaiah 42 speaks of a servant called to be a light to the Gentiles — to open blind eyes and bring prisoners out of darkness. That light is Christ.

When Jesus spoke, it was Christ speaking through Him. The Word made flesh. The same way God spoke through Isaiah — human lips, divine voice. God doesn't have a mouth. He uses ours. He always has. The same voice that said "let there be light" is the same voice that spoke through the prophets, the same voice that walked in Jesus, the same voice that still speaks today — through anyone who hears and obeys.

And those of us who follow what Jesus taught us? We're called to carry that light into a dark world. To preach the Gospel of Christ. The Word of God.

We're called to speak truth when everyone else is silent. To point to the signs when everyone else is blind. To tell the prisoners: there is a way out.

The symbols of this world — the serpents, the wings, the wheels, the hidden messages — they all point to something. They reveal that there's more going on than meets the eye. They confirm that we live in a spiritual reality, not just a physical one. But those symbols don't point to salvation. They don't point to freedom. They don't point to truth.

Only Jesus' ministry does that. He showed us the way. He taught us about the Word. He told us that sin — that man of sin — chokes it out. Chokes out the Word. When someone is choking, can they speak? No. They cannot. Christ lived in Jesus. He lives in you too.

He is the Way out of the prison. He is the Truth that opens blind eyes. He is the Life that sets captives free.
